LexisNexis Student Essay Competition
Topic
All essays must respond to the following topic:
Discuss the legal and ethical considerations of AI applications, with a focus on the Middle East.
Please note that the topic is intentionally broad to allow students to approach it from the perspective of their choice, so long as they engage with AI, its ethical and legal implications and the Middle East region.
Criteria & Rules
All articles are to be submitted in English in the following format:
- 3000 words (+/- 10%) excluding footnotes and endnotes
- Citations may conform to any major recognised citation standard (i.e., OSCOLA, Bluebook), but must be consistent throughout
The title page must include the following:
- The title of the essay
- Your name, email address, phone number, academic institution, and program of study
Eligibility
At the time of submission, the student must be an LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D. or S.J.D. candidate at any institution in the world.
Only one entry is permitted per person.
Deadline
Submissions will be accepted until 30 June 2022 at 11:00 PM UTC.
